European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Last Updated: September 3, 2025
Overview
The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018, establishes comprehensive requirements for the collection, use, storage and protection of personal data. The GDPR is designed to strengthen individuals’ control over their personal information and promote transparency, accountability, fairness and responsible data processing.
The GDPR may apply to organizations located within the European Economic Area (EEA), as well as organizations located outside the EEA that offer goods or services to individuals in the EEA or monitor their behavior where the GDPR’s territorial requirements are met.
marketprospector Digital, owned and operated by Demand Junkies Pvt. Ltd., recognizes the importance of responsible data practices and is committed to handling personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
Our Commitment to GDPR Compliance
At marketprospector Digital, we view data protection as an important part of building trust with our customers, partners, business contacts and individuals whose information we may process.
As a B2B demand generation, marketing intelligence and digital services platform, we may process business and professional information for purposes including audience intelligence, demand generation, content distribution, marketing campaigns, analytics and related business services. We are committed to ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and transparently and is used only for legitimate and clearly defined purposes.
Our approach to GDPR compliance is an ongoing process. We regularly review our data practices, policies, security measures, technology and relationships with third-party service providers to help ensure that personal information is handled responsibly.
Our Approach to Data Protection
We maintain policies and procedures designed to support compliance with applicable data protection requirements. These measures include processes for responding to applicable data subject requests, maintaining appropriate records of processing activities, assessing privacy risks and reviewing how personal information is collected, used, stored and shared.
We work with relevant service providers, technology partners, data providers and business associates to establish appropriate contractual and operational safeguards where personal data is processed on our behalf. Where required, we conduct appropriate assessments of third parties and their data protection practices.
We implement reasonable technical, administrative and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, misuse or destruction. Our security practices are reviewed periodically based on the nature of the information we process and the risks associated with its processing.
We provide appropriate privacy and data protection guidance to personnel whose responsibilities involve handling personal information and seek to maintain awareness of applicable privacy obligations throughout our organization.
We also maintain privacy-related policies and notices designed to explain how personal information may be collected, used, disclosed and protected. These policies may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices or applicable legal requirements.
Lawful Processing of Personal Data
Where the GDPR applies, we seek to process personal data only where an appropriate lawful basis exists. Depending on the circumstances, this may include consent, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of legitimate interests or another lawful basis recognized under applicable data protection law.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the relevant interests, the necessity of the processing and the rights and freedoms of the individuals concerned.
Where consent is required, we seek consent in an appropriate manner and provide individuals with the ability to withdraw consent where applicable.
Data Minimization and Retention
We seek to collect and process personal information that is relevant and reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is used. We do not intend to collect or retain personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary for legitimate business, contractual, legal or operational purposes.
Personal information is retained for periods determined by factors such as the purpose for which it was collected, our relationship with the relevant individual or organization, contractual requirements, legal obligations and legitimate business requirements.
International Data Transfers
Because Demand Junkies Pvt. Ltd. and marketprospector Digital may work with customers, partners, service providers and technology providers in different countries, personal information may be processed or transferred across national borders.
Where the GDPR applies to such transfers, we seek to implement appropriate safeguards and transfer mechanisms as required by applicable law. These may include adequacy decisions, appropriate contractual safeguards or other legally recognized mechanisms for international data transfers.
Individuals’ Rights Under GDPR
Where the GDPR applies, individuals may have certain rights concerning their personal data. These rights may include the right to request access to personal data held about them and information regarding how that data is processed.
Individuals may also have the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information and, in certain circumstances, request deletion of their personal data.
Where applicable, individuals may have the right to restrict the processing of their personal data or object to certain processing activities, including processing for direct marketing purposes.
Individuals may also have the right to receive certain personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and request that it be transmitted to another organization where the applicable requirements for data portability are satisfied.
Where processing is based on consent, individuals may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
These rights are subject to certain exceptions and limitations under applicable law.
Direct Marketing and Communications
marketprospector Digital may use business and professional information for legitimate B2B marketing, demand generation, communications and related business purposes where permitted by applicable law.
Individuals may object to the processing of their personal information for direct marketing purposes at any time. If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, you may contact us using the details provided below or use the unsubscribe mechanism included in our communications.
Data Subject Requests
Individuals who wish to exercise applicable GDPR rights may contact us at compliance@demandjunkies.com.
When submitting a request, please provide sufficient information for us to understand and process your request. We may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the person making a request where necessary to protect personal information and prevent unauthorized disclosure.
We will review and respond to valid requests within the timeframe required by applicable law. Where permitted by law, additional time may be required for complex or multiple requests, in which case we will provide an appropriate notification.
Data Breach and Incident Response
We maintain processes designed to identify, assess, respond to and mitigate security incidents involving personal information.
Where a personal data breach occurs that triggers notification requirements under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including notification to relevant supervisory authorities and affected individuals where required.
Supervisory Authority
Individuals who believe that their data protection rights have not been adequately addressed may have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in their country of residence, place of work or the location of the alleged infringement, as applicable.
